GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

13 And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else. 14 Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. 15 These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.  - James 1:13-15(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

21 Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory.  - 1 Peter 1:21(New Living Translation).

NOTES

Today has been a cool cloudy day with high temperatures in the upper sixties.  I attended Sunday School and Worship Service this morning.  Pastor J. T's sermon this morning was titled "The 'Disciple's Prayer.'"  We usually know it as the "Lord's Prayer."  I usually pray this prayer twice a day, once in the morning and again before I go to sleep.  I also pray  other prayers during the day and before I go to sleep.  I also talk to Flonnie just before I go to sleep  The Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to "pray continually."  I think that means to be in a Spirit of prayer at all times.  I rested this afternoon with several different cats on the bed with me at different times.  Beau and Emmy were there all the time.  Those two have just about taken over my bed but that is fine, I just move them over a little and they seem to enjoy me being in bed with them. I attended church tonight.  Tonight was our monthly fellowship meeting at the church where we share a meal together and visit.  I put out treats for the cats when I came home from church but it was getting dark and very cool so I didn't sit out tonight.

The cats are fine.  Little Girl is on the couch.  Rascal just came in, I guess to check on me. The other cats are elsewhere at present.

At 10:20 p.m. skies are cloudy with a temperature of 60 degrees.  I will see you next time.
