GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

19 Better to live humbly with the poor
than to share plunder with the proud.
- Proverbs 16:19(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.  - Romans 8:26-27(New Living Translation).

A FAMILY PRAYER

Lord, behold our family here assembled.  We thank You for this place in which we dwell, for the love that unites us, for the peace accorded us this day, for the hope with which we expect the morrow, for the health, the work, the food and the bright skies that make our lives delightful; for our friends in all parts of the earth.  Amen.  - Robert Louis Stevenson -

A QUOTE

God believes in me; therefore my situation is never hopeless.  God walks with me; therefore I am never alone.  God is on my side; therefore I can never lose.  -  A. Philip Parham -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

You can tell more about a person by what he says about others than you can by what others say about him.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

You can think without speaking, but don't speak without thinking.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been a cloudy day with high temperatures in the mid eighties.  The skies cleared late this afternoon.  I had lunch by myself as Charley was doing some work at his church.  I came by the post office.  I took a nap with Beau and Emmy.  Later I went to a Dollar General Store.  I forgot something so I had to go back again to the Dollar General Store which is only about a mile from my house.  I sat out with the cats this evening.  Several people have asked me to reply to their Facebook but I don't do Facebook or texting or anything like that.  All I have time for is keep up with the regular e-mails and Internet.  I am too old to learn all that new stuff.

The cats are fine.  Little Girl on the couch and Rascal lying on his back in the floor.  Tony, the cat from across the street has been in a couple of times tonight to eat dry food.  If the little food bowl is empty, he will just sit on the desk and stare at me until I go get some more dry food.

At 10:20 p.m skies are fair with a temperature of 70 degrees.  Have a Wonderful Sunday!  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
