GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

1 Large crowds followed Jesus as he came down the mountainside. 2 Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. “Lord,” the man said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.”  3 Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared.  - Matthew 8:1-3(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

9 We can make our plans,
but the Lord determines our steps.
- Proverbs 16:9(New Living Translation.

NOTES

Well, as you can see, I changed my mind or maybe the Lord changed my mind on waiting for Friday for the next Good Things.  It wasn't because of e-mails that I received as I only received three e-mails on the subject but I really do appreciate those e-mails.  I just felt like that there are so many bad things going out over the Internet, we need all the good stuff we can get.  Quentin Clingerman puts the Good Things on his web site www.wordchimes.com as a blog.  Anyone in the world could pick up that web site so I never know who might be reading the Good Things.  There are lots and lots of good web sites with Scripture, sermons and writings of all kinds.  Let me ask you a question.  If anyone ever tried to harm me for putting out Scripture over the Internet, would you stand behind me?  If not, then perhaps we should drop you from the Good Things.  God's people who believe that the only way to go to Heaven is by repentence and accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior should stick together and defend one another if it ever comes to persecution for believing in Jesus.  There were eight obits in the McAlester paper today and seven of them were younger than me.  So maybe the Lord wants me to continue with the Good Things as long as I am thinking straight.  If I ever quit thinking straight, you tell me because I might not realize it.

The picture tonight is from left to right, Rascal, Smokey in the center and Beau.

At 10:30 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 81 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
