GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

 46He (Jesus) told them (the disciples), "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."  - Luke 24:46-47(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

 2 "Surely God is my salvation;
       I will trust and not be afraid.
       The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song;
       he has become my salvation."
Isaiah 12:2(New International Version).

A QUOTE

We must continue to ask God for wisdom and insight and for the strength to persevere.  He will cause us to rise up and fly like eagles, walking and not fainting.  - Norma Smalley -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

NOTES

Today has been mostly sunny with high temperatures in the mid eighties.  I had lunch with Charley, came by the post office and then to Country Mart for some items.  I took my afternoon nap.  Smokey was the only one on the bed as I took my nap.  I sat out with the cats this evening.  I will not write a story tonight.  I have so many memories that I just don't know where to start.  One of my e-mail friends wanted to know if Flonnie was a Christian while I sat home and read the paper.  No, she was not a Christian at that time.  We were good moral people but being a moral person does not get you to Heaven.  According to the Bible you have to repent of your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  The Bible says that "All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God" (Romans 3:23).  Flonnie became a Christian at a Revival meeting a few days after I became a Christian.  From that time on our home was a Christian home.  I will write more about that in a later Good Things. The picture tonight is Leo looking at something.

The cats are fine.  I have a large desk sitting beside my computer.  I keep a little bowl of dry cat food on that desk at all times since Little Girl lives here in the den.  While I am at my computer, different cats jump up on the desk and eat dry food.  Tony, the cat from across the street comes in and eats from that little bowl of dry food.  He has been in twice tonight.  There was very little food in the bowl when Tony came in so he ate that quickly and was still hungry.  He looked at me and said "Mew".  I knew what he wanted so I went and got a handful of dry food.  He ate a little more and then went back outside.

At 11:00 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 76 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
