GOOD THINGS

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

(Jesus said to the disciples) 24 "I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours."  - Mark 11:24(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

5 Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
 “I will never fail you.
      I will never abandon you.”
6 So we can say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper,
so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?”
- Hebrews 13:5-6(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

Something I wish I'd done sooner is paid more attention when my parents and grandparents told about their past.  - Barbara Darland -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Gentle words fall lightly, but they have great weight.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

Sympathy is two hearts tugging at one load.

NOTES

Today has been partly cloudy with high temperatures around 90 degrees.  After lunch I came by the post office and then home and took my afternoon nap.  After I got up from my nap I went out again to a Dollar General Store, Country Mart and Walgreens.  I sat out with the cats and read for a while this evening.  I had several favorable comments on my story about Flonnie and me.  My grandson, Chris, sent me an e-mail saying he liked hearing about his grandparents in our younger days.  I don't have time to write any thing tonight but I will some more in later Good Things.  The  picture tonight is Itty Bitty having a snack.

The cats are fine.  None are with me in the den at present but they are not too far away.

At 11:00 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 78 degrees.  If the Lord is willing I will see you tomorrow.

In Christian Love, Everett.
