GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

(An angel of the Lord said to Zechariah, the priest) 14 "You will have great joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his (John The Baptists')  birth, 15 for he will be great in the eyes of the Lord. He must never touch wine or other alcoholic drinks. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even before his birth.-(Luke 1:14-15(New Living Translation)

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

22 Give your burdens to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
- Psalm 55:22(New Living Translation).

NOTES

There was an error made in "God Speaks To Us Through His Holy Word" in yesterday's Good Things.  A nice layperson pointed that out to me.  I knew better if I had just been thinking.  That verse is used again tonight in the correct way.  If you caught the error why don't you let me know?  If you still have yesterday's Good Things and can't figure out the error, let me know and I will tell you.  Today has been partly cloudy with high temperatures around 90 degrees.  I had lunch by myself today.  Charley's granddaughter came to see him and they went out to eat pizza.  From lunch I came by Country Mart and the post office.  I had a nap this afternoon.  I sat out with the cats this evening.  I visited over the fence this evening with Joseph, my neighbor that I met last evening.  He is the Reserves and is 21 years of age and will be going to Afghanistan next year.  He will be over there for a year.  The picture tonight is Emmy with her tongue sticking out.  I guess she must have meowed as the picture was taken.

The cats are fine doing their usual things.  Little Girl is here in the den with me and Rascal just came in.

At 10:08 p.m. skies are partly cloudy with a temperature of 81 degrees.  Have a Wonderful, Worshipful, Restful Sunday.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett
