GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

39 He (Jesus) went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”  - Matthew 26:39(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(The Lord Said) 3 "For I will pour out water to quench your thirst
and to irrigate your parched fields.
And I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants,
and my blessing on your children."
- Isaiah 44:3(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

A single sunbeam is enough to drive away many shadows.

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

No duty is more urgent than that of returning thanks.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

We don't quit playing because we grow old - we grow old because we quit playing.

NOTES

The day was cloudy this morning but skies cleared by noontime.  High temperatures today were near 90 degrees.  We had lots of rain last night.  It quit raining about daybreak at my house.  Rainfall totals measured from almost four to over eight inches depending on where you live.  They tell me that the tornado warnings were blowing last night but I slept right through it.  I had lunch with Bill and Charley.  I went by the post office and was home for the rest of the day.  I sat out with the cats from about 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.  It gets dark earlier as time goes by.  The picture tonight is of my daughter, Treva.  We didn't get a picture of June.  She was the one taking the pictures.  The people I heard from today wanting the pictures to continue were Annette White, Cathy Perks, Edie Smith and Geoff Crumm.

The cats are fine.  All of them are around somewhere.  Cats are about as good as dogs to let you know when something or someone is around.  When they hear a strange noise they immediately start skurrying inside or to a hiding place.  They can hear as well as any animal.  Rascal just came in and is on the desk here beside me eating dry food and wanting me to notice him.

At 9:45 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 82 degrees.  I will leave you with this thought: "I am just an old chunk of coal but I will be a diamond someday."
