GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

(Moses said) 26 “There is no one like the God of Israel.
He rides across the heavens to help you,
across the skies in majestic splendor."
Deuteronomy 33:26(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

4 Sing to the Lord, all you godly ones!
      Praise his holy name.
5 For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime!
Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning.
- Psalm 30:4-5(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

Faith regards problems, small and large, as opportunities.

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

You can't spend yourself into prosperity.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

Beauty is but skin deep; it's the beauty of the soul that outshines the fairest skin.

NOTES

Today has been sunny with high temperatures in the low nineties.  My children, Treva, June and Ron have been with me over the week-end.  We celebrated my birthday belatedly.  They took me to Chili's Saturday night for a birthday meal.  We ate at home on Sunday and went to the cemetery late that afternoon.  I attended Sunday School and Worship Service Sunday morning but was visiting with my children Sunday night.  Taco Bob's Fiesta Grill was closed today so we were going to eat at Charley's Chicken (not related to my brother) today but it was closed.  We settled for Adelita's mexican restaurant.  The kids all went home this afternoon, June to Yukon, Oklahoma, Ron to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Treva to Topeka, Kansas.  I have heard from all of them and they arrived home safely.  We made some pictures of the cats and of we humans.  Would you like me to send them along in the Good Things or just send them to the ones who request them?  Let me know.

The cats are fine.  Emmy and Rascal just came walking through the den heading out the front door.  Friendly just came in and is on the desk near me eating dry food.

At 10:55 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 85 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
