GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

151 But you are near, O Lord,
and all your commands are true.
- Psalm 119:151(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

23 Then the Lord will bless you with rain at planting time. There will be wonderful harvests and plenty of pastureland for your livestock.  - Isaiah 30:23(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

It is well for one to know more than he says.
- Titus Marcius Plautus -

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER

If you fill your heart with regrets of yesterday and the worries of tomorrow, you have no today to be thankful for.  - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been mostly sunny with high temperatures in the low nineties.  I attended Sunday School and Worship Service this morning.  I had lunch at home.  I rested this afternoon.  Our church service tonight was a combined service with four churches for Fifth Sunday Singing.  Tonight's singing was at the Church of the Nazarene in Arpelar, 12 miles west of McAlester.  I did not attend tonight.  I sat out with the cats this evening and read for a while.  Charley will have surgery in the morning to remove a small cancer from his bladder.  He had the same type of surgery a few years ago.  The surgery will be at the hospital here in  McAlester.  He is not sure if he will have to spend the night at the hospital.

The cats are fine doing their usual things tonight.

At 10:50 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 80 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.

I am praying that Charley will come through the surgery fine and that will be the last of the cancer!  To Charley's good and God's glory.

Trust you'll very soon get some relief from the heat!  It has been a long, hot summer!
