GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

11 No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit.  - 1 Corinthians 2:11(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

33 But all who listen to me (Wisdom) will live in peace,
      untroubled by fear of harm.”
- Proverbs 1:33(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

When you fall down, get up, dust yourself off, and keep going.

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Keep words soft and tender, because tomorrow you may have to eat them.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

It's fun going to class reunions, but it's strange seeing all those old faces and new teeth.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

You don't really break God's laws.  You violate God's laws and they break you!

NOTES

Today's weather was a repeat of yesterday with high temperatures in the high nineties.  I called my daughter, Treva, this morning about 8:30 like I do every morning.  I told her my back was hurting and I didn't know if I would go to church or not.  I told her that I would lie down for a while to see if my back got better.  I went into my cool bedroom and I was soon asleep.  The next thing I knew in my sleep I heard Flonnie call "Everett!"  I answered but then I immediately woke up.  It was 9:15 a.m., my back was feeling better, so I got up and hurriedly got ready and made it to Sunday School on time.  When I came home at noon I was very sleepy so I postponed lunch for a while and went to sleep.  I slept for about an hour and then got up, fixed me a tv dinner, and ate lunch.  Afterward I lay down again and slept some more.  It is just too hot to do anything.  I attended church tonight.  When I got home from church I put out some treats and food outside for the cats  and then came right back in.  It is getting late so I better send this out.

The cats are fine.

At 11:15 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 87 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian love, Everett.
