GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

11 He who works his land will have abundant food,
but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.
- Proverbs 12:11(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

9 Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.  - Deuteronomy 7:9(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

He who loves God with all his heart dreads neither death, torment, judgment nor hell, for perfect love opens a sure passage to God.  - Thomas a Kempis -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Cherish all the happy moments; they make a fine cushion for old age.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

Wherever love is bestowed, it brings in great returns.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been a hot mostly sunny day with high temperatures in the mid nineties with the heat index again well over 100.  Some of Charley's kids and grandkids were visiting him today so we didn't have lunch together.  I went to The Meeting Place for lunch today.  I then went by the post office and to Walmart for some items.  I got back home around 2:00 p.m. and stayed inside the remainder of the day.  A little after 7:00 p.m. I went outside and put out some treats and food for the cats but I didn't sit outside tonight.  I did my reading in the cool of the den.  Just before 10:00 p.m. I took some fresh water outside for the cats.  It was still quite warm but not as warm as last night.  There is a little breeze tonight.

The cats are fine.  Little Girl decided she wanted to spend some time on top of the van so that is where she is at present.  Rascal just left out a little while ago so he is not far away.  There is a stray Siamese Tom cat that keeps hanging around.  Of course all my cats have been spayed.  I let old Tom eat outside with the other cats as it appears that he doesn't have a home.  Sometimes he comes on the porch and will even slip inside the house when I am not watching.  He always goes outside when I show up.  I just can't be mean to him or any other cat.  If you get tired of hearing about my cats let me know and if you desire I will drop you from the Good Things.  I will certainly understand.

At 10:45 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 80 degrees.  Have a Wonderful Sunday!  I will see you next time.
