GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

14 Enjoy prosperity while you can,
but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God.
Remember that nothing is certain in this life.
- Ecclesiastes 7:14(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

25 Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. 26 Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”  - John 11:25-26(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

If we had no winter the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.  - Anne Bradstreet -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Never claim a victory prematurely.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

Busy people do not have time to be busybodies.

NOTES

Today has been another very warm mostly sunny day with high temperatures in the mid nineties and with a heat index well over a hundred.  I had lunch with Charley and then to the post office.  I have been inside in the cool most of the day.  I did go out to sit in the back yard with the cats after 7:00 p.m.  It was still a little warm but sitting outside enjoying God's world and the cats was well worth enduring a little warm weather.  I read until it got too dark and then continued to sit for a while until 9:00 p.m. before I came in.

The cats are fine.  Little Girl on the couch.  She was outside for a little while this evening but I guess she decided it was much more comfortable under the air conditioning.  Rascal was in a little while ago and the rest are around somewere either inside or on the back porch or maybe outside.

At 10:20 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 83 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
