GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

15 “The time promised by God has come at last!” he (Jesus)  announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News (Gospel)!”  - Mark 1:15(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

7 Though I am surrounded by troubles,
you will protect me from the anger of my enemies.
   You reach out your hand,
and the power of your right hand saves me.
- Psalm 138:7(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

I want to be remembered as an encourager.  I want people to walk away from me feeling more encouraged and more excited about life than before they saw me.  - Paul J. Meyer -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Anything on the menu that you can't pronounce, you probably can't afford.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

For a daily uplift, look in a mirror and say, "God doesn't make junk!"

NOTES

Today has been mostly sunny with high temperatures near 80 degrees.  On Thursday, Dr. Siren gave me a prescription to take 3 tables of Prednisone every day.  Yesterday I forgot to take the last tablet until I went to bed around midnight.  Guess what happened?  I couldn't sleep.  I finally got up about 5:00 a.m. and came out here to the den and rested in my recliner for a while.  I made coffee about 7:00 and ate some breakfast.  I read my devotion for the day.  I took my regular pills for the day and called my daughter Treva at 8:30 a.m. like I do every day.  I checked my incoming e-mails.  At 9:00 a.m. I went back to bed and slept until almost 11:00 a.m.  I went to Taco Bob's and had lunch with Charley.  I then went by the post office, Walgreens and on to Walmart for a few items.  I got home and was ready to go rest again at 1:30 p.m.  I slept until almost 4:30 p.m.  I had supper and then sat outside and read with the cats for an hour or so.  I will not take Prednisone at bedtime again!

The cats are fine.  Little Girl on the couch as usual.  Rascal came by earlier and checked on me.

At 11:00 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 78 degrees.  Have a Wonderful Sunday!  I will see you next time.
