GOOD THINGS

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

6Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. 7He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water."  - Revelation 14:6-7(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

3 Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.
- Psalm 37:3-4(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

If we do not abide in prayer, we will abide in temptation.

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER

NOTES

The Good Things are going out tonight to a few people who do not regularly receive them.  If you would like to continue to receive the Good Things which go out most every night, then send me an e-mail.  Otherwise you will not receive them again.  To those who receive the Good Things every day, I would like for you to send me an e-mail by next Monday, May 31, and tell me that you want to continue to receive them.  If I don't hear from you I will drop you from the list because I will assume that you don't want them or don't read them and I don't want them cluttering up your mail box.  Today has been mostly sunny in McAlester, Oklahoma with a few occasional clouds.  High temperatures were in the high eighties.  As usual, I had lunch with my brother, Charley, at Taco Bob's Fiesta Grill.  This afternoon I went to some stores to do a little shopping.  I have 8 cats plus a stray that has made herself at home and now she thinks she belongs to me.  Her name is Lucy and she waited 10 months for me to come back home while I was living in Moore, Oklahoma last year.  I sit outside with the cats every evening, read a little,  and the cats have come to expect me to come out around 6:30 p.m with some cat treats.  I sit out there for an hour or so and read and watch the cats do various things.  As most of you know, my dear  wife, Flonnie, went to Heaven a couple of years ago.  We owned some of the cats before she died. The cats are now my family and are so much company to me.  Tomorrow, May 25, will be Flonnie and my 64th Wedding Anniversary.

The cats are fine tonight.  Most are outside at present but the doors are open so they can come in anytime they choose.

At 10:45 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 78 degrees.  I will see you next time, probably tomorrow night.

In Christian Love, Everett
