GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

24 You (O Lord) guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
- Psalm 73:24(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

20Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, 21nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you."  - Luke 17:20-21(New International Version).

None are so empty as those who are full of themselves.

NOTES

Today has been a sunny day with high temperatures in the mid seventies.  I had an injection in my back this morning at the hospital here in McAlester.  Charley had to take me there and later come and get me because I was not supposed to drive for the remainder of the day.  Charley also came to take me to lunch.  J. T. Carnell and Joel Kircher (both ministers) had lunch with Charley and me today.  I had my lawn mowed and my house cleaned this morning.  They did an outstanding job on both.  I have been resting most of the day after the injection.  I sat out with the cats and read this evening.  It was a beautiful evening.   I have been listening to some of the early Gospel recordings of the Oakridge Boys.  These song may have been recorded before they went country.  If you would like to be dropped from Good Things send me an e-mail and I will certainly understand .

The cats are fine, going in and out.  They are all out at present.

At 10:35 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 68 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
