GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

1 How joyful are those who fear the Lord
      all who follow his ways!
2 You will enjoy the fruit of your labor.
How joyful and prosperous you will be!
3 Your wife will be like a fruitful grapevine,
      flourishing within your home.
Your children will be like vigorous young olive trees
as they sit around your table.
4 That is the Lord’s blessing
      for those who fear him.
- Psalm 128:1-4(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

16Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 17If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.  - 1 Corinthians 3:16-17(New International Version).

A QUOTE

You're missing the truly important stuff if there are many days when you don't see your kids because you're out of the house before they awake and come home after they're in bed.  - David  J. Stipech -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

No joy is complete unless it is shared.
- From Remisce Magazine -

Happiness adds and multiplies as we divide it with others.

NOTES

Today has been a mostly sunny day with high temperatures around 80 degrees.  I had lunch with Charley and went by the post office.  Later I went to Walmart.  I sat out with the cats this evening and read a little.  Then I trimmed a few limbs and little bushes in the yard.  Then I had to come in and rest for about 15 minutes before I did the Good Things.  I have been listening to the Florida Boys Quartet as I do the Good Things.  They are one of the best Southern Gospel quartets.  One of the songs they sang was "Beyond The Sunset" which I will leave with you at the end of the Good Things.

The cats are fine.  Rascal comes by to check on me occasionally as well as Little Girl.

At 11:15 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 65 degrees.  I will see you next time.

Beyond The Sunset

Beyond the sunset oh blissful morning
When with our Saviour heaven is begun
Earth stroll is ending oh glorious dawning
Beyond the sunset when day is done
Recitation
Should you go first and I remain to walk the road alone
I'll live in memory's garden dear with happy days we've known
In spring I'll watch for roses red when fades of lilac's blue
In early fall when the brown leaves call I'll catch a glimpse of you
Recitation
Should you go first and I remain to finish with the scroll
No lenghtening shadows shall creep in to make this life seem droll
We've known so much of happiness yes we've had our cup of joy
And memory is one gift of God that death cannot destroy
Recitation
Should you go first and I remain one thing I'd have you do
Walk slowly down that long, long path for soon I'll follow you
I want to know each step you take that I may walk the same
For someday down that lonely road you'll hear me call
Yes you'll hear me call your name

Beyond the sunset oh glad reunion
With our dear loved ones who've gone before
In that fair homeland we'll know no parting
Beyond the sunset for evermore
(For evermore)
