GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

16 It is better to be godly and have little
than to be evil and rich.
- Psalm 37:16(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(Jesus said) 28 "Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son (Jesus), 29 and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment."  - John 5:28-29(New Living Translation).

NOTES

Today has been a sunny day with high temperatures in the low eighties.  My brother, Charley, my daughter, June, and I traveled to Oklahoma City today.  We went by Moore, Oklahoma, to pick up our cousin, Audie Harmon.  We attended a memorial service in Oklahoma City honoring all the people from the Department of Corrections in Oklahoma who were killed while serving in the line of duty.  Charley and I had an older brother who died in 1935 from a blow to the head from an iron pipe inflicted by an inmate.  Our brother's name was Frank Christian and his name will be on a large monument they are going to build in Oklahoma City to honor these people.  It was a very inspiring service and we met several of our relatives that we had never met or had not seen in a long time.  I think there were about 17 of Frank Christian's relatives at the memorial service.  We got back home about 3:30 p.m. and I was very tired so I took a nap.  I was still too tired to go to church tonight.  June and I sat out in the back yard with the cats this evening.

The cats are fine.  They were happy to see us when we returned home today although they were able to go outside while we were away.

At 10:30 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 62 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
