GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

14But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.  - 2 Corinthians 2:14(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(Jesus said) 27 "But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man (Jesus) can give you. For God the Father has given me the seal of his approval.”  - John 6:27(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

Taking care of yourself is best done when you listen to God.
- Dean Nelson -

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER

When we seek to discover the best in others, we somehow bring out the best in ourselves.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been mostly sunny with clouds now and then and high temperatures in the mid seventies.  Today was Charley's 82nd birthday so I bought his lunch.  I sat outside for almost two hours this evening.  I read a while and walked a little and just sat and enjoyed being with the cats.  More flowers are blooming every day.  Lots of different colored iris.  The pink roses on the south fence are just beginning to bloom.  The red honeysuckle vine is blooming.  Flonnie really liked the red honeysuckle.  As I said before she usually told me where to set out a flower or tree or vine.  She would ask my opinion and would listen to my suggestions but she would usually have the final say in the matter.  That is why we have so many different pretty flowers scattered around over the yard.  The first year after Flonnie died I had my back problem to contend with but I did observe the flowers part of the time.  The second year after Flonnie died I tried living in Moore and things worked out pretty well until December and then I became quite homesick for this place.  I am so glad that God saved it for me and didn't let it sell.

The cats are fine.  Little Girl is on the arm of the couch here in the den.  She has been outside.  She likes to go to the front yard and sit on the van part of the time.  Most of the other cats are in the back yard now.  I go out with my flashlight every now and then to make sure they are alright.  I don't like for them to leave the yard but they do quite often as they like to explore and check things out.  Most of them will come to the back porch when people are walking in the street as they do quite often during warm weather.

At 9:35 p.m. skies are cloudy with a temperature of 71 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
