GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

11 The lowly will possess the land
and will live in peace and prosperity.
- Psalm 37:11(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

30 The disciples saw Jesus do many other miraculous signs in addition to the ones recorded in this book. 31 But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.  - John 20:30-31(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

The humblest individual exerts some influence, either for good or evil, upon others.
- Henry Ward Beecher -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Many people go on the rocks from their own bluff.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

We search for beauty in distant lands while we crush the violet beneath our foot.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been partly cloudy with high temperatures around 70 degrees.  Our nephew, Doug McNutt and his wife, Darlene, had lunch with Charley and me today.  They live in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  They used to live around here and saw several friends today at Taco Bob's.  I attended church tonight.  We studied from Joshua, chapter one, tonight.  After I came home from church I sat outside with the cats for about 20 minutes.

The cats are fine.  Last night I told you about our calico cat named Emmy.  She went outside before I went to bed last night and didn't come back inside.  However, this morning when I got up she was sleeping in a chair in the living room.  I laughed and asked her how she got in the house but she didn't tell me.  Our garage was converted into a den many years ago.  In 1956 we had a 10 by 40 feet porch added to the back of our house.  We put our dryer on the back porch and cut a small hole in the wall for the electric cord to come through to the den to be plugged in to electricity.  It is a very small hole (maybe 2 inches) but Emmy is a small cat even though she did have six kittens a year ago.  She has lots of fluffy fur so she appears to be larger than she really is.  I am sure that is where she is getting back inside the house.

At 10:25 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 62 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In Christian Love, Everett.
