GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
(The Apostle Paul wrote) 15 "They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right. 16 And this is the message I proclaim—that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life." - Romans 2:15-16(New Living Translation).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
6Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. - 2 Corinthians 9:6(New Living Translation).

NOTES
Today has been mostly cloudy with the sun shining through now and then. High temperatures were in the mid fifties. I had lunch with Charley. I then went by the post office and Family Dollar Store. I have rested a lot today usually with a cat or two keeping me company. Two pretty yellow flowers are blooming side by side near the front door and I think Flonnie sent them (senile?). I did a load of laundry this evening and I have the dryer running at this time.
The cats are fine. Beau seems to be doing real well. I gave him his pills this morning. He didn't like it but he didn't stay mad at me. He has been coming to me quite often today and talking. He acts like he really likes me as do all the cats. Rascal just came in and got on the desk near my computer to check on me. He checks on me quite often. I guess I have time now to tell how I got Rascal.
One evening, a month or so after Flonnie had passed away, I was sitting in a rocking chair here in the den. I had some small pieces of chicken in a plate on the floor for my cats when they came along. All of a sudden I looked down and there was a gray and white kitten eating the chicken. I didn't have any idea where he came from although the back door was open. I said "I don't need another cat." I picked him up and carried him to the back yard thinking he would go back to where he came from. He came right back in and would follow me around and he wouldn't leave. I decided that I would give him away. His eyes looked bad and he had a big stomach. I found out that a cat had to be in real good health to be given away and this cat was not in perfect health with a big stomach and bad eyes. Along about then, my daughter, Treva, came to visit. The cat would purr as she carried him in her arms. The cat needed medical attention so I took him to my vet, Dr. Richardson. He said that the cat had round worms and that was causing his big stomach and he also had an eye infection. The doctor kept him and treated him a day or two and then I brought him home. By then I was attached to the little fellow and decided to keep him. We named him Rascal. Flonnie died on February 24 and Memorial Day week-end my three kids and I were at the cemetery visiting Flonnie's grave. Treva and I were sitting by one the statutes that are placed around the cemetery. She said "Dad, do you remember at Mom's funeral, I had the minister tell that Flonnie had left 8 felines for you to take care of?" I said "Yes, I remember." Treva said "At that time I had a feeling that Mom was going to send you another cat." Then the appearance of Rascal from out of no where began to make sense. We think that Flonnie sent him. The reason he had something wrong with him was in order that I wouldn't give him away. That is the story of Rascal and as I have said before he comes in to check on me occasionally. You can make up your own mind as to how Rascal came to us but we have our ideas.
Rascal just now came in again to my desk to check on me.
At 8:15 p.m. skies are fair with a temperature of 48 degrees. Have a Wonderful Lord's Day tomorrow! I will see you next time.
In Christian Love,
