Virus Notices

Have you noticed the notices for viruses recently?  The ones I get are at least two years old!  Which brings up the point I wish to  make.  Most of you have observed already that these interenet emails can take on a life of their own.  They just keep circulating and circulating and circulating ad infinitum!

Now some of them are worth making the rounds over and over again.  They are inspirational or reminders that are helpful.  However, all too many are neither and some are absolutely either out-of-date,  inaccurate, or malicious!

Why do they keep circulating?  Is it because people just receive them an pass them along without really considering their content.  Or are readers, as I have been in the past, taken in by what appears reasonable and viable information.  Not too long ago I was taken in once again and decided. NO MORE!  Now how long that vow holds true remains to be seen but I am attempting to be much more discriminatory in what I pass along. 

Keeping the line of communication open for  worthwhile and very important emails is the object.  I want to send emails that are accurate and uplifting in some way or at least humorous. 

Snopes.com   and   Factandfiction.com are excellent sources to check out questionable email messages.
