GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

18 So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. 19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.  - Hebrews 6:18-19(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(Jesus said) 40 "You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man (Jesus) will come when least expected.”
- Luke 12:40(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

The chief end of man is to glorify God by enjoying Him forever.
- John Piper -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

God's help is nearer than the door.
- Irish Proverb -

The trouble with most of us is that we would rather be ruined by praise than saved by criticism.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

It's not what I look like . . . it's how others see me..
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

The day started with cloudy skies and fog.  The fog had cleared away by noon and this afternoon has been partly cloudy with high temperatures in the upper fifties.  I attended church this morning.  The worship summary will be in another paragraph.  I had lunch at home.  My son, Ron, and wife, Angie, came about 3:15 p.m.  Angie cleaned my house.  I have hired her to clean my house every two weeks.  The went home about 5:30 p.m.

The cats are fine, going in and out this afternoon as they pleased.  Rascal was asleep on the floor here in the study and I stepped out for a minute and he got the computer chair.

The Worship service started with the congregation singing "Come Into His Presence."   Pastor Doug Vernier gave a welcome and announcements.  Gilbert Hockett led the praise and worship in song with Doug Gulley on the piano and Carol Hockett on the organ.  Praise and worship songs were " A Glorius Church", "When We All Get To Heaven" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus."  The prayer chorus was "Gentle Shepherd."  Pastor Doug led in prayer.  While the offerings and tithe were being taken, Rachel Vernier played an offertory on the piano.  For the music special, Donna Vernier sang a beautiful song.  The title of Pastor Doug's sermon was "Because I Know Whom I Have Believed" with Scripture from 2 Timothy 1:3-12.  The worship service closed with the congregation singing "Living For Jesus."

At 7:00 p.m. skies are partly cloudy with a temperature of 43 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In sincere Christian Love, Everett.
