GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

1 God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
2 So we will not fear when earthquakes come
and the mountains crumble into the sea.
3 Let the oceans roar and foam.
Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!
- Psalm 46:1-3(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

14 Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.  - James 5:14-15(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

Hope means to keep living amid desperation and to keep humming in the darkness.
- Henri J. M. Nouwen -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

It's OK to take our complaints to God.
- From Reflecting God -

Sometimes you have to be silent in order to be heard.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been partly cloudy with high temperatures in the low thirties.  My son, Ron, and wife Angie came over about 11:30 a.m.  Shortly after that my grandson, Chris, came with four of my great-grandchildren, Holly, Jaimie, Jon and Nick.  We got several pizzas for lunch and everyone had all the pizza they could eat and took some home with them.  After the pizza we opened Christmas presents, since we were snowed in on Christmas Day.  Everyone liked their gifts.  About 2:00 p.m. it was getting time for Jaimie's nap so Chris and the kids left.  Ron and Angie left about 3:00 p.m.   Angie cleaned my house today so I will have a nice clean house for a day or two until the kitties and I mess it up again.  I know some of you have heard that I am moving back to McAlester so I will tell you that my plans are to move back to my house in McAlester soon if it is the Lord's Will.  My house was on the market for 10 months and didn't sell so that might be one sign among others that I should move back to McAlester.  I like the house that I am living in now but I think I need to move back "home".

The cats are fine.  They stayed hidden today while the company was here except for Happy.  He is the friendly one so he is usually around when I have visitors.  Leo is in a chair here in the study.  Rascal just came inside so he is here in the study visiting with me.

At 6:40 p.m. skies are mostly cloudy with a temperature of 30 degrees.  We may have some light snow tonight.  I will see you next time.

Have a Wonderful Sunday!  In sincere Christian Love, Everett.
