By Everett Christian,  WC poet

GOOD THINGS

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises to the Most High.
2 It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning,
      your faithfulness in the evening.
- Psalm 92:1-2(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(The Lord said to Joshua) 9 "This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”  - Joshua 1:9(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

The only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve.
- Albert Schweitzer -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Others will follow your footsteps more easily than they will follow your advice.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

Instead of pointing a finger, why not hold out a hand?
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

This morning was cloudy but the sun came out in early afternoon and shone for the rest of the day.  High temperatures today were in the mid thirties.  The church service was canceled today due to the bad road conditions.  I could not have gone anyway because of the ice on my front porch and driveway.  I did listen to the Bill Gaither hour and heard some beautiful songs such as "Because He Lives" and "He Touched Me."  The ice started to thaw this afternoon and then my son, Ron, came and scraped the ice from my front porch and driveway.  He also spread some kitty litter where the ice had been so it would not refreeze in the morning.  I will have to go to the market tomorrow for cat food and food items.  I haven't been out of the house since last Wednesday.

The cats are fine.  They have been going out today but they don't stay out long in the snow.  They are all inside at present except Friendly who just went back outside.  She won't stay outside long.  Beau has my computer chair again.

At 7:15 p.m. skies are mostly clear with a temperature of 25 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In sincere Christian Love, Everett.
