GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

17 He (the Lord) will listen to the prayers of the destitute.
He will not reject their pleas.
- Psalm 102:17(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”  - Revelation 1:8(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

God must have said, "I know what I'll do, I'll send My love right down there where they are.  And I'll send it as a tiny baby so they'll have to touch it and they'll have to hold it close."  - Gloria Gaither -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

No person's head aches while he or she comforts another.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

If you want to launch a big ship, you have to go where the water is deep..

NOTES

Skies have been clear today but it has been very cold.  High temperatures were in the low thirties.  I have been home alone all day with ice on my front porch preventing me from going outside.  With my back problem I am not able to clear the ice.  I was invited to eat Christmas Dinner this evening with my cousin, Audie Harmon, and her family but I didn't make it.  My son, Ron, couldn't get out of his driveway today because of a snow drift.   This is the first time in my 84 years that I have spent Christmas alone but I made it okay since I am alone most of the time anyway.  My dear wife, Flonnie, and I had 61 wonderful years and 9 months together.  We spent 61 Christmas' together, never being apart on Christmas.  I have spent Christmas without her in person the past two years.  I am looking forward to a happy reunion with her one of these days.  During World War II in 1943, 1944 and 1945 I was in the Army and had to spend Christmas away from my family but I always had other servicemen with me.  In 1943 I spent Christmas at Camp Fannin near Tyler, Texas.  In 1944 I spent Christmas aboard a ship heading for the invasion of Luzon Island in the Philippines.  My unit landed on Luzon on January 11, 1945, two days after D-Day.  In 1945 I spent Christmas on a ship heading for home and was discharged from the Army on January 15, 1946.

The cats are fine.  Some of them ventured out in the snow today but didn't stay long.

At 7:15 p.m. skies are clear with a temperature of 30 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In sincere Christian Love, Everett.
