GOD SPEAKS TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

13 A gossip goes around telling secrets,
but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence.
- Proverbs 11:13(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.  - 1 Corinthians 10:13(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

As we draw near to Heaven, a great gladness should fill our hearts.  It is God's great morning lighting up the sky.  (George Springs Merriam, A Living Faith).

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Bad habits are like a comfortable bed - easy to get into but hard to get out of.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

Youth is a gift of nature; age is a work of art.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been mostly sunny in Moore, Oklahoma.  High temperatures were in the mid forties.  I really wanted to attend church this morning but last evening I started feeling dizzy and it continued this morning.  When I first arose this morning I took a meclizine pill but it didn't work quick enough for me to feel like going to church.  I watched a Bill Gaither program on television and heard some beautiful songs such as "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem", "The Halluiah Chorus from Handel's Messiah" and "The King Is Coming."  I had lunch at home and by then I felt much better.  Ron and wife, Angie, came about 3:30 p.m.  Angie cleaned my house.  Pastor Doug and Donna and some more  members of the church came by about 7:00 p.m. and stood on and around my porch and sang some beautiful Christmas Carols.  They went on their way to sing at some more houses.  Ron and Angie left about 7:20 p.m.

The cats are fine.  They have been going in and out since the day has been sunny.  Right now Friendly is asleep in my computer chair.  Itty Bitty and Leo are also lying here in the study.

At 9:15 p.m. skies are clear with a temperature of 37 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In sincere Christian Love, Everett.
