GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

5 Listen to me, dear brothers and sisters. Hasn’t God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith? Aren’t they the ones who will inherit the Kingdom he promised to those who love him?  - James 2:5(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

25 You need not be afraid of sudden disaster
or the destruction that comes upon the wicked,
26 for the Lord is your security.
He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.
- Proverbs 3:25-26(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

What you have outside counts less than what you have inside.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

We do not remember days; we remember moments.

NOTES

Today has been a sunny day in Moore, Oklahoma, with high temperatures in the low sixties.  I attended church this morning.  A summary of our Worship Service will be in a separate paragraph.  I had an e-mail from a lady this week asking me to continue with a summary of the Worship Services.  I had lunch at home.  I sat out in the yard for a few minutes just after lunch and soon there were animals (cats) playing and moving around in the yard.  I came inside and took a nap.  My son, Ron, came over about 4:30 P.M. and visited until about 7:15 p.m.

Our Worship Service started with the singing of the chorus "Come Into His Presence."  Pastor Doug Vernier gave a Welcome and Annnouncements.  Pastor Doug then called seven people to the front and received them into the Church as new members.  In Praise and Worship in Song the congregation sang "Come, Ye Thankful People, Come" "Let All Things Now Living" and "Give Thanks."  A prayer chorus was sung "Lord, We Praise You" and Pastor Doug led in prayer.  The offering was then taken as Doug Gulley and Carol Hockett played "How Great Thou Art" on the piano and key board, which was a special blessing to the congregation.  For the Music Special, the Youth Group sang "My Hands Are Holding Yours."  Pastor Doug's message was titled "Thanksgiving Harvest" with Scripture from Deuteronomy, Chapter 8.  After the message, Pastor Doug shared Communion with the congregation.

The cats are fine.  Happy took a nap with me this afternoon.  Happy and Rascal are always glad to see Ron.

At 9:10 p.m. skies are clear with a temperature of 45 degrees.  I will see you next time.

In sincere Christian Love, Everett.
