GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

10 In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. 11 All power to him forever! Amen.  -1 Peter 5:10-11(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

12 But the godly will flourish like palm trees
and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon.
13 For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house.
They flourish in the courts of our God.
 14 Even in old age they will still produce fruit;
they will remain vital and green.
- Psalm 92:12-14(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

Let all strangers that come be received like Christ, for He will say, I was a stranger and you took me in.
- The Rules of St. Benedict -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Let your mind wander, but be careful when you follow it.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

A person who always says what he or she thinks is courageous...and friendless.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

We had some light rain this morning in Moore, Oklahoma.  The skies cleared this afternoon.  High temperatures were around 60 degrees.  I walked through the back yard a time or two today.  About 1:00 p.m. I went to Walmart, came back by Arby's and brought lunch home to eat.  I talk to my daughter, June, every night in Hawaii.  There are tree frogs all around where they are living.  When she is out on an enclosed porch I can hear the frogs very clearly over the phone.  June says she likes the sound of the frogs.

The cats are fine.  Most of them are inside at present resting as usual.  Beau and Smokey are resting here in the study with me.  I love animals, especially pets.  It really hurts me and sometimes brings me to tears to see an animal mistreated or neglected.  I feel that anyone who mistreats an animal should be prosecuted.

At 9:00 p.m. skies are partly cloudy with a temperature of 50 degrees.  Have a Wonderful Sunday if you celebrate Sunday as the Sabbath as I do!  I will see you next time.

In sincere Christian Love, Everett.

That's a most wonderful promise from God's Word, Everett. In my old age I'm finding it even more wonderful!
