NOTES

We had some light rain this morning and early afternoon here in Moore, Oklahoma.  I attended church this morning.  Summary of the church service will be in a different paragraph.  I had lunch at home.  My daughter, June, and son, Ron, came around 4:00 p.m. and stayed until around 7:00 p.m.

The cats are fine.  They had been staying in the yard for the past two days.  This afternoon, Friendly found a way to get on top of the house and then out of the back yard.  She would go to the front yard and then come to the front door to be let in as if to show us she had found a way out.  I told Ron and June to go to the deck and watch to see how she got out.  Sure enough she did it again by getting upon a tall wooden structure on the side of the deck that the morning glories grow on and then she would leap to the top of the house.  Ron nailed and wired some small metal flower bed fencing to the top of the structure.  Friendly tried again and didn't make it to the top of the house so maybe we have her corralled again.  Right now she is in the study with me in my computer chair and I am sitting in a folding chair.  My cats are not spoiled at all.

Our Worship Service started this morning with the congregation singing "Come Into His Presence."   Pastor Doug Vernier gave a Welcome and made Announcements.  The congregation then joined in Praise and Worship in song with the singing led by Gilbert Hockett with Doug Gulley and Carol Hockett on the piano and keybord.  The songs sung in Worship were "We Gather Together," "He Abides" and "Hidden Peace."   A prayer song was sung just before prayer titled "Sweet Hour of Prayer."   Pastor Doug led in prayer.  As the offering was being taken, Rachel Vernier played an offertory on the piano.  A special song was sung beautifully by a lady named Kim Monroe.  Pastor Doug continued his series of sermons on "The Power of One."  Today's sermon was titled "Invitation" with Scripture from Matthew 4:18-20.  To close the service Pastor Doug dismissed with prayer.

At 10:25 p.m. skies are cloudy with a temperature of 46 degrees.  I will see you next time.

If you like the Good Things, go back to the top and read the Scripture verses again and let God speak to you.

In sincere Christian Love, Everett.
