GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

3 For even Christ didn’t live to please himself. As the Scriptures say, “The insults of those who insult you, O God, have fallen on me.” 4 Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled. 5 May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus.  - Romans 15:3-5(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

8 The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
- Psalm 103:8(New Living Translation).

NOTES

Yesterday, my two daughters and I attended the funeral of Clariece in McAlester.  My cousin, Audie Harmon, who lives here in Moore went with us.  It was a long day, however, we saw many relatives and friends.  My daughters, June and Treva, heard a lot of reminiscing from Audie and me as we traveled to and from McAlester.  Audie and I grew up together and she was the one who introduced me to Flonnie.  Charles seemed to be holding up very well and he and Clariece's three kids and several grandkids seemed to be doing okay.  They had been expecting this and Clariece is free from pain and suffering now.  What a Glorious Hope we have when we die if we are Christians!  Thanks again to all who sent condolences vial e-mail.  All of you friends are greatly appreciated.

It started to rain sometime during the night here in Moore.  Treva said she heard the thunder and saw the lightening flashes but I never awakened while the thunder was going on.  It rained here most of the morning but we have not had any rain this afternoon.  Treva, June and I had lunch today at Harry Bear's All American Grill, a nice place to eat.  Treva left for Topeka about 1:30 p.m. and I just heard from her a little while ago.  She had arrived home safe and sound and her dog and three cats were fine.  June left for home around 3:30 p.m. and I just talked with her a little while ago.

The cats are fine.  June and I took Beau and Leo to the Cats Only Vet Clinic for their booster shots after Treva left.  Beau and Leo wont have to go back to the clinic now for another year.  They are doing fine.  Little Girl was just in here in the study bothering me so I carried her back to the living room

High temperatures today were in the mid sixties.  At 7:20 p.m. the temperature is 49 degrees with cloudy skies.  Little Girl just came back to my computer desk and is sitting here in front of me.  I will see you next time.

In sincere Christian Love, Everett.
