GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

24 Don’t befriend angry people
      or associate with hot-tempered people,
25 or you will learn to be like them
      and endanger your soul.
- Proverbs 22:24-25(New Living Translation)

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(Peter said) 11 "For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,
‘The stone that you builders rejected
      has now become the cornerstone.’
12 There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”
- Acts 4:11-12(New Living Translation).

A QUOTE

When you trust God there's no barrier too high, no valley too deep, no dream too extreme and no challenge too great.
- Charles Swindoll -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

You are young and useful at any age if you are still planning for tomorrow.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

Those who bring sunshine to others cannot keep it from themselves.

NOTES

Today has been a cloudy day in Moore, Oklahoma, with high temperatures in the mid sixties.  I attended church this morning.  I will write about the church service in another paragraph for those who want to read about it.  I had lunch at home.  I sat outside for a while with the cats in early afternoon.  My son, Ron, and his wife, Angie, came to visit me around 4:00 p.m. and stayed until around 6:30 p.m.  We sat outside in the back yard part of the time they were here.  Thanks to everyone who played the little game of Friday Fun.

The cats are fine.  Some of them are really getting to know Ron and Angie.  They have more cats than I have.

Praise and Worship songs used in church this morning were: "O Worship The King", "I Know Whom I Have Believed" and "He's Everything To Me."  Pastor Doug Vernier led in prayer.  The offering was taken while Doug Gulley played "There's Something About That Name" on the piano.  Gilbert Hockett sang a special song.  Pastor Doug's message was titled "The Power of One" with Scripture reading from Ephesians 4:1-16.

At 9:05 p.m. we have cloudy skies with a temperature of 53 degrees.  Smokey is asleep in a chair here in the study.  I will see you next time.

In sincere Christian Love, Everett.
