GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

9 The Lord detests the way of the wicked,
but he loves those who pursue godliness.
- Proverbs 15:9(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(Jesus said) 18"Whoever believes in him (Jesus) is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."  - John 3:18(New International Version).

A QUOTE

History is full of  stories of people who made it big but failed to make it good.  You don't have to follow in their footsteps.  You can learn from their life lessons.  - Alan Nelson -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

When you are right, nobody remembers, but when you are wrong, nobody forgets.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

A lovely thought, deeply rooted, never ceases to bloom.
- From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been cloudy with occasional drizzle in Moore, Oklahoma with high temperatures in the mid fifties.  Most of you know that Moore joins Oklahoma City on the south side.  Quentin Clingerman has begun to put the Good Things on the Blog of www.wordchimes.com so there is a possibility that they could be read from anywhere in the world.  That makes me feel very humble.  I started these e-mails several years ago by sending out verses from the Bible.  As time went along different things were added and named Good Things.  The Lord knows there is enough bad things on the internet.  By far, the most important part of Good Things is the verses from God's Holy Word.  I firmly believe they were written as God's Word and should not be taken lightly.  If you believe in God, read and heed the verses from God's Holy Word.

A couple of months ago I requested prayer for Wanda Sims.  She is the mother of my son Ron's wife, Angie.  Wanda passed from this life this morning so please pray for Angie and the family.

The cats are fine.  If you are new to Good Things I have cats who are part of my family.  I live alone and the kitties are so much company to me.  They know their names and usually understand what I tell them.  In turn, I usually know when they are trying to tell me something.  My dear wife died on February 24, 2008.  She also loved cats and what a comfort our cats have been to me the past year and one half since my dear Flonnie died.  I talk to Flonnie every night and tell her that I will take care of our cats as long as I am able.  Silly 84 year old senile man?  Maybe if you think so.  Maybe not if you think not.

At 9:10 p.m. we have foggy conditions in Moore, Oklahoma with a temperature of 53 degrees.  Have a nice Thursday!  I will see you next time.

In sincere Christian Love, Everett.
