GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

1 For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. 2 We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing. 3 For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies. 4 While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life.  - 2 Corinthians 5:1-4(New Living Translation).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

58Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.  - 1 Corinthians 15:58(New International Version).

NOTES

Today has been a cloudy day with high temperatures in the high fifties.  In early afternoon I went to Lowes store and then to Walmart.  I then picked up some lunch and brought home.  I took a nap this afternoon.  I then worked a little on the outside deck blocking off some places where I think Friendly has been getting on top of the house.

The cats are fine.  In the middle of my nap this afternoon Rascal came to snuggle with me.  Could you guess who is behind me now in my computer chair?  Smokey is also asleep here in the study.

At 8:55 p.m. we have foggy conditions with a temperature of 57 degrees.  Have a happy Wednesday!  I will see you next time.

In sincere Christian Love, Everett.
