Good Things

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

3Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. - Philippians 2:3-4(New International Version)

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

1God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. - Psalm 46:1-3(New International Version).

A QUOTE

The human heart at whatever age, opens to the heart that opens in return. - Maria Edgeworth -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER

Biscuits and sermons are improved by shortening. - From Reminisce Magazine -

People who matter are aware that everyone else does, too. - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES

Today has been a cloudy day with some rain about the middle of the day. I had lunch with Charley. Today was his birthday so the employees and waitresses at Taco Bobs sang Happy Birthday to him. I went to the post office and came home and took my afternoon nap. At around 3:00 p.m. I went to the clinic to pick up a prescription. I visited with Taylor (a former waitress at Bob's) who is a receptionist now at the clinic. I went by Walgreen's and left the prescription to be filled. I then went on to Walmart and did my weekly shopping. I sat out with the cats for a few minutes around 6:00 p.m. Thanks for everything, notes, prayers and reading the Good Things.

The cats are fine. None are with me now but they have been coming and going all evening.

Have a nice Thursday,

Everett.
