Good Things

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD

(Jesus said to His disciples): 33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." - John 16:33(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

(Jesus said to His disciples): 34 " A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." - John 14:34-35(New International Version).

NOTES

Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 66 degrees. I attended worship services today. We had a wonderful service with choruses, hymns and spiritual songs. Jayme Reinbold sang a special song. She sang that great song "How Great Thou Art" which blessed my heart and I am sure it blessed everyone. Jayme told me that she sings at Branson, Missouri. She is Imogene's granddaughter in law. Pastor JT gave the usual wonderful message. Today's message was titled "Are We Listening For God?" I had lunch at home. I took a long nap with my cat named Emmy and others were with us at times. I gave the cats their treats inside at 5:00 p.m. I watched the Lawrence Welk show from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. After my evening meal, I put the garbage on the street for pick up in the morning. Thanks for your notes and thanks for reading the Good Things.

The cats are fine. None are with me at present but they have been around all evening and I have see all of them.

Have a nice Monday to start the week.
