Good Things
Wednesday, January 14, 2015GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
114 You (O Lord) are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word. - Psalm 119:114(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn* of my salvation, my stronghold. - Psalm 18:2(New International Version). (*Horn here symbolizes strength.)
A QUOTE
Whether we are poets or parents or teachers or artists or gardeners, we must start where we are and use what we have. - Luci Shaw -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
He who wants little always has enough. - From Reminisce Magazine -
Hope is the gentle lift God puts beneath our dreams while He prepares our hearts to see them come true. - From Prayers and Blessings -
Kind hearts are the gardens; kind thoughts are the roots; kind words are the flowers; kind deeds are the fruits. - From Our Daily Bread -
NOTES
Today has been mostly sunny with a high temperature of 42 degrees. Stephanie came at 8:45 a.m. and took care of my house for another week. She left everything in excellent condition. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. Ray Poor and his wife had lunch with us today. Mellisa was our waitress today. I went to the post office and then by Walgreens to pick up a prescription that I have been waiting on for a few days. I took my nap with Emmy and Leo. Smokey was also with us for a while. I gave the cats their treats inside at around 5:00 p.m. Thank you, everyone, for your notes and thanks for reading the Good Things.
The cats are fine. Rascal is in his chair again tonight. The others have been coming and going. I have seen all of them this evening.
Have a nice Thursday,
Everett.
