Growing old is easy. The hard part is growing up. - From Reminisce Magazine -
To avoid going wrong, follow God's leading. - From Our Daily Bread -
NOTES:
Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 59 degrees. I had lunch by myself at Taco Bob's Fiesta Grill. Charley had to help with a funeral at his church for Earl Folsom, age 90. I had known Earl and his family since we moved to McAlester in 1963. Remember to pray for his wife, Sylvia, and their children. I went to the post office but there was "No Letter Today" (no mail in my box). I went to the Petsense store for canned cat food. At 2:30 p.m. I went to the dentist at the Ragan Family Dental Clinic. Dr. Shane Ragan and one of his assistants did some work on my lower teeth. My upper teeth are false but I still have my natural lower teeth. I had time to nap about an hour with Tony. At 6:00 p.m. I put treats outside for the cats. Yesterday I saw an opossum in my back yard. When I opened the back door he went under the storage building. Last night I glanced out to my back porch and there was a skunk on the porch but he quickly went out when I opened a window to the back porch. I had rather not have opossums and skunks for pets but there are lots of them in the city of McAlester as well as raccoons. My brother, Charley, caught a raccoon in a trap in his back yard a few nights ago. My brother has one cat that sleeps in a storage house that has heat in it if needed. Thanks for your notes and thanks for reading the Good Things. I have email friends, Michele and Michelle who receive the Good Things. They both live in California and have never met and I have never met either of them in person. I hear from Michelle quite often. I heard from Michele the other day and thank you, Michele, for your letter. Both of these email friends have cats for pets.
My cats are fine. Lucy is on the back of the sofa and Rascal is in the recliner chair. Emmy and Tony have been around in the last few minutes. I have seen all of them this evening.
Have a nice Tuesday, Everett.
