Good Things
Friday, October 31, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
11 I have hidden your word in my heart (O Lord) that I might not sin against you. - Psalm 119:11(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD 17 Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. - Jeremiah 32:17(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
God has given us two hands - one to receive with and the other to give with. We are not cisterns made for hoarding. We are channels made for sharing. - Billy Graham -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
Dusty Bibles lead to dirty lives. - From Reminisce Magazine -
No one can come so near that God is not nearer still. - From Our Daily Bread -
Worrying is like rocking in a rocking chair. It keeps you busy but gets you nowhere. - From Reminisce Magazine - NOTES:
Today has been mostly sunny with a high temperature of 60 degrees. Our first freeze of the winter will probably be tonight. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office and Walgreen's to leave a prescription. I took a nap this afternoon with Emmy and Tony. I made a quick trip to Walmart at 4:30 p.m. for an item. I put treats out for the cat around 5:45 p.m. I heard from my lab work today. There is nothing new wrong with me. I did have a bad infection two or three weeks ago but that has cleared up after I took the antibiotics. I still have my back problem and take three pain pills per day for back pain. As long as my back is not hurting too bad and I feel alright otherwise, I can still do the Good Things. Thanks for your notes and thanks for reading the Good Things.
The cats are fine. Itty Bitty and Rascal are in the den with me at present. I have seen all of them this evening.
Have a nice Saturday, Everett.
