Good Things

Sunday, August 17, 2014

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:

21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the Word planted in you, which can save you. - James 1:21(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD

11 The ransomed of the Lord will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. - Isaiah 51:11(New International Version).

A QUOTE:

Christians have the hope of an eternal reunion with Christ and with believing loved ones who have passed away. - Jennifer Benson Schuldt -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:

Each time a rainbow appears, it's God renewing His promise. - From Every Good Thing -

Great mountains of happiness grow out of little hills of kindness. - From Reminisce Magazine -

Let your light shine - whether you're a candle in a corner or a lighthouse on a hill. - From Our Daily Bread -

NOTES:

Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 86 degrees. I attended Worship Services this morning. We had the usual good service with singing, testimonies and Pastor JT's sermon titled "Connected to The Community." I haven't felt up to par the last few days and almost decided to miss church today but I am so glad that I didn't miss. I think I have allergy problems making my head swim a little at times. My right shoulder blade also hurts a little when I move too much. I had lunch at home, took a nap with Itty Bitty, put food out for the cats at around 6:20 p.m. and got the garbage ready and on the street around 7:00 p.m. Thanks again for you emails and thanks for reading the Good Things.

The cats are fine. Smokey is on a desk near me. Emmy, Friendly and Rascal are in the kitchen having a bite of canned food. I have seen all the kitties this evening.

Have a good Monday. Everett
