Good Things

Wednesday, May 28, 2014

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:

(The Lord said to Job) 41 "Who provides food for the raven when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?" - Job 38:41(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:

(Jesus said) 4 "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned." - John 15:4-6(New International Version).

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:

Christians at war with each other cannot be at peace with their heavenly Father. - From Our Daily Bread -

Life is more interesting if you don't have all the answers. - From Go For It -

The greatest happiness is giving to others. - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES:

Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 82 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office. I then went to the Petsense store and Walmart for weekly supplies and cat food. I took a nap this afternoon. Smokey was with me part of the time. Around 4:00 p.m. I went to the Vet Hospital to pick up flea treatments for my cats. I had my evening meal around 5:45 p.m. I put treats out for the cats at around 6:15 p.m. I sat with them for about 30 minutes reading a book by Gloria Gaither titled "Something Beautiful." Bill and Gloria Gaither have written over 700 songs.

I sure appreciate the emails that I received from you friends telling me you missed the Good Things. I heard from several people and I know you were sincere in what you wrote so I will continue with the Good Things for the present. I appreciate everyone who reads the Good Things.

The cats are fine. Rascal is lying on the desk beside me snoozing. Smokey was here a little while ago. He got up near my computer and was trying to help me do the Good Things so I had to put him down in the floor. He has now gone somewhere else. I have seen all the kittens this evening.

Have a nice Thursday. Everett
