Pitter-Pats

Gentle pitter-pats come tapping

'gainst window outside are rapping

frothy breath misting warm glass

more restless beat the pitter-pats.

Strong winds eastward now come blowing

from lamplight dull lume is glowing

moist leaves swirl in conjoined dance

embracing 'gainst frail creaking glass

Fearful feet from storm run dashing

flee t'ward structures now down crashing

unaware of beacon Light

upon far hill is shining bright.

Thankfully rest people kneeling

on this hill are joyful feeling

beacon Light now warms each soul

who sought its safety from gales cold.

Gentle pitter-pats cease tapping

'gainst window outside once rapping

frothy breath withdraws from glass

thank You Dear Lord! for storms that pass.

________ Isaiah 4:6 ~ And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

Isaiah 25:4 ~ For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
