Good Things

Tuesday, May 20, 2014

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! - 2 Corinthians 5:17(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:

19 For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him (Jesus), 20 and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross. - Colossians 1:19-20(New International Version).

A QUOTE:

Get out there and give real help! Get out there and love! Get out there and testify! Get out there and create whatever you can to inspire people to claim their divine being. This is what has to be done now. There is no time for dallying. - Mother Teresa -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:

Blessed are those who have learned to admire and not envy. - From Reminisce Magazine -

Look for Christ's return and you'll live for Christ's glory. - From Our Daily Bread -

Perhaps good things come to those who wait, but the best things come to those who seize the moment and make it their own. - From Go For It -

NOTES:

Today has been mostly sunny with a high temperature of 86 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office, then to Walgreens to pick up a prescription, then to the Petsense store for cat food and then to Walmart for my weekly supplies. I took my usual nap this afternoon. I put treats and food outside for the cats at around 6:10 p.m. and sat with them for about five minutes. Thanks for your emails and thanks for reading the Good Things.

The cats are fine. Rascal is lying on a desk near me and Lucy is lying close to my feet. I have seen all of them this evening.

Have a nice Wednesday. Everett
