Good Things
Wednesday, May 14, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
19 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. - Psalm 68:19(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
1 Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. 2 Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits - 3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, 4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, 5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. - Psalm 103:1-5(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
How much more wonderful the marvels of this world appear when we know the One who made them all . - David McCasland -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
May you love abundantly, live abundantly, and leave a legacy rich with integrity. - From I Wish For You -
The most difficult kind of climbing is getting out of a rut. - From Reminisce Magazine -
When you're weary in life's struggles, find strength in the Lord. - From Our Daily Bread -
NOTES:
Today has been partly cloudy with occasional light rain showers during the day. High temperature was 65 degrees. As usual I had lunch at Taco Bob's Fiesta Grill with my brother, Charley. Also joining us was our friend, Bill, and my pastor and wife, JT and Dianne Carnell. I went to the post office for my mail and didn't receive any mail today. While I was out I went to the Petsense store for cat food and then to Walmart for my weekly supplies. I took a nap this afternoon. My cat, Beau, was waiting for me to take a nap, and later my cat, Emmy, came to join us and finally my cat, Rascal, joined us for a nap. I only have nine cats so I usually have at least one join me for my afternoon nap. I put food and treats outside for the cats at around 6:10 p.m. Thanks for your emails and thanks to everyone for reading this old man's Good Things. They changed the format in my computer again today so I hope everything comes through fine and is readable.
The cats are fine. Two cats are in the den with me now. Leo is asleep on the sofa and Rascal just got out of the recliner chair. I have seen all of my cats this evening.
Have a nice Thursday. Everett.
