Christmas Greetings 2008

Merry Christmas to one and all.   May your holidays be bright with peace and joy!  The angels sang on that first Christmas, "Glory to God in the highest; peace on Earth, good will to men."  It is my fervent prayer for a New Year!    Merry, merry Christmas everyone and a happy New Year!

PS:  There has been in the news that Dec. 25 is not the date of Christ's birth.  That is not news!  Few people believe, I think, that Dec. 25 is the actual date of his birth.   The date was chosen many centuries ago by the Church Fathers to commemorate Christ's coming to earth.  That is fine with me.  Actually there is no date certain for his birth.  It could have been anytime from B.C. to AD 3 or 4.  That it happened is historically as verified, and more so, than most events that ancient.  Peace and Joy in this wonderful season of remembering God sent His only begotten Son to Earth as a Babe to save all who would come to Him in repentance and faith.
