Good Things

GOOD THINGS Monday, February 10, 2014

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD 1 Do not envy wicked men, do not desire their company; 2 for their hearts plot violence, and their lips talk about making trouble. - Proverbs 24:1-2(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD (The Apostle Paul wrote) 12 "May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you." - 1 Thessalonians 3:12(New International Version).

A QUOTE A friend is one who joyfully sings with you when you are on the mountain top, and silently walks beside you through the valley. - William A. Ward -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER Always be prepared to do the Lord's work boldly. - Dwight L. Moody -

It's good to learn of our weakness if it drives us to lean on God's strength. - From Our Daily Bread -

You cannot get ahead while you are getting even. - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES Today has been a cloudy day with a high temperature of 28 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I went to the post office to pick up my mail. While I was out I went to Walmart and the Petsense store. Beau took a nap with me this afternoon. The others were outside and I didn't know that I had the door closed completely where they couldn't get inside. I put food outside for the outside animals at around 5:25 p.m. Today has been another lonely day. If you have never lost a spouse you just don't know how lonely it can be even after six years. I appreciate your emails and I appreciate each one who reads the Good Things.

The cats are fine. Emmy, Leo, Rascal and Tony are in the den with me at present. Lucy has been inside this evening in one of the bedrooms. I have seen all of the cats this evening.

Have a nice Tuesday. Everett.

Keep thinking the good thoughts.
