Good Things
GOOD THINGS Wednesday, February 5, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
34 He (the Lord) mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble. - Proverbs 3:34(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
11 A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver. 12 Like an earring of gold or an ornament of find gold is a wise man's rebuke to a listening ear. - Proverbs 25:11-12(New International Version).
A QUOTE The strength for our conquering and our victory is drawn continually from Christ. - Billy Graham -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER It's not how old you are but how you are old. - From Reminisce Magazine -
Keeping in tune with Christ keeps harmony in your life. - From Our Daily Bread -
To escape criticism, do nothing, say nothing and be nothing - From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES Today has been another really cold day. High temperature was only 21 degrees. I didn't go to Taco Bobs today as Charley was having a luncheon at his church. At 1:00 p.m. I went to the McAlester Clinic to have a prescription written for one of my medicines. That is the quickest way to get a prescription now rather than relying on faxing back and forth between the doctor and Walgreen's. I will pick up the medicine tomorrow. After I left the clinic, I went to the post office to pick up my mail. Then I dropped by McDonalds to pick up a Big Mac, french fries and an orange drink and brought it home to eat. The rest of the day I have stayed inside except to pick up my paper from the yard and put out food and treats for the outside animals at around 5:30 p.m. My napping buddy today was Beau. I appreciate your e-mails and I appreciate you reading the Good Things. The forecast is for more snow tomorrow.
The cats are fine. Emmy and Leo are asleep on the back of the sofa. The rest are inside or on the enclosed back porch. They just won't stay outside for more than a few minutes in this dangerously cold weather. Lucy has been in all day. Smart cats.
Have a nice Thursday. Stay out of the cold as much as possible if it is cold where you are. Everett.
Keep Thinking The Good Thoughts!!!
