War

How do you feel about the USA going to war without a declaration of war from Congress (Constitutional way)?

Increasingly since Truman took us into war in Korea as a "police action" presidents have taken us into conflicts without a Congressional declaration of war. As a result we have been in war more years than years of peace.

9/11 was in exception. Otherwise shouldn't we avoid getting into conflict unless we are directly threatened? The Middle East has been in conflict for centuries. Let them settle their own conflicts.

We should stop selling arms to any nation except our certain established allies which is Israel in the Middle East. That should be defensive weapons alone.

There should be no more involvement in conflicts unless we are directly "hit". After ninety days ( i believe the Constitution declares) Congress must declare war on the offending nation.

Even the War on Terrorism should have periodic oversight and approval of Congress. Presidents become too powerful when it is left to the Executive Branch. What think you?
