Sinner or Saint?

Which are you? St. Paul refers to the saints as he writes to various churches. He is referring to those who have forsaken their old lives to follow Christ. Sinner by definition is one who commits sin. As a devoted follower of Christ do you constantly and deliberately or carelessly commit sin. If so how can you be called a Christian? Jesus said we are to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, converts the repentant, transforms the life. St. Paul reminds us that the disciple of Christ is a new creation - that the old is gone. Are you still living a life of sin? Or have you become a saint? A saint is not some super Christian that only a few attain. He/she is a person who has fallen in love with God in Christ and desires to please Him and be obedient to His will. Fall short? Yes. May stumble and sin? Yes. But the saint, the disciple of Christ, the devout Christian doesn't continue in the sin but repents and moves on. What are you? A sinner? or a saint? I stand with St. Paul.
