Good Things

by Everett Christian, McAlester, OK

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. - Psalm 23:6(New International Version)

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 6 "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." - Matthew 6:6(New International Version).

A QUOTE
Worship is not an unexpressed feeling, nor is it empty formality. It must involve the whole person - mind, emotions, body and will. - John C. Bowling -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
After the friendship of God, a friend's affection is the greatest treasure here below. - From Alive -

When you're up to your waist in alligators, it's difficult to remember that your main objective was to drain the swamp. - From Alive -

A FACT ABOUT DOGS
1) The digestive system of older dogs doesn't always function as well as it once did. To help keep her healthy give supplements - digestive enzymes, fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. - From DOGFANCY Calendar -
A FACT ABOUT CATS Brushing a cat several times a week removes dead skin and spreads natural oils. Soft-bristle brushes or grooming gloves work well on cat with short coats. Try small slicker brushes or wide-tooth combs on longhaired cats. - From CATFANCY Calendar -

NOTES
Today has been a cloudy day in McAlester, Oklahoma, with a high temperature of 64 degrees and a low temperature of 57 degrees. We have had a little light rain this evening with a little lightening and thunder but it has passed on by at present. I saw Charley at noon. I went to the post office and then came home and took a nap with Tony. At around 3:00 p.m. I went to the Petsense store andWalmart. At 4:30 p.m. I put treats and food outside for the cats. Since last time I have heard from Burlene, Alice, Michelle, Geneva, Audie and Pastor JT. It is always nice to receive e-mails. I sincerely hope that I don't have problems tonight in sending out the Good Things like last night.
The cats are fine. Several of them have been hanging around with me in the den since we had a little thunder earlier in the evening. Beau was gone all day and I began to pray that he would come home safely. Around 8:30 tonight he showed up. He didn't tell me where he had been all day.
Have a Wonderful Sunday!
Keep Thinking The Good Thoughts!!! Everett.
