Good Things

by Everett Christian, McAlester, OK

GOD SPEAKS TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 21"Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.” - John 14:21(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. - Ephesians 4:7(New International Version).

A QUOTE
You can only make others better by being good yourself. - Hugh R. Hawies -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
All other knowledge is hurtful to those who have not honesty and good nature. - Montaigne -
The older I get, the better I was. - From Reminisce Magazine -

A FACT ABOUT CATS
Indoor cats, especially, need mental stimulation. Give them places to explore, such as boxes with cut-outs. Play with your cats often, teach tricks, and rotate toys so they seem new again. - From CATFANCY calendar -

NOTES
Today has been a sunny day in McAlester, Oklahoma, with a high temperature of 49 degrees and a low temperature of 28 degrees. I saw Charley and Bill at noon. I went by the post office. I took a nap this afternoon with Tony. At 4:00 p.m. I went to the Petsense store and came back by McDonalds, bought my evening meal and brought home to eat. At around 5:00 p.m. I put cat treats and food out in the back yard and storage house for the cats. Since the last Good Things I have heard from Michelle, Janice, Gaetano, Alice, and Don & Evelyn. Thank you for your e-mails and comments.
The cats are fine. Rascal is in the recliner chair asleep. Some of the others have been coming and going. I have seen all of my cats this evening. This afternoon a strange cat came up to the front of my house. He was bob-tailed, sort of a Siamese color with a black spot on his face. I opened the patio door and he started to go away and I called him and he came back close to the door. I didn't pet him because you never know what a strange cat is going to do. I got a little bowl of dry food and set outside the door for him and he ate it. He had a scratch on his face. I didn't try to do anything with him because I have enough cats. I checked a little later and he was gone. Hopefully he belongs to someone close and found his way home.
Have a Wonderful Sunday!
